The Choir & Dampier Idol Our Fete always seem to draw a huge crowd, despite the heat, and when we started it was hot and humid and about half the kids were looking into the sun. Still, we managed to belt out "Friday On My Mind", Mr Biddiscombe's favourite number, quite well. Don't be fooled by all those plaster casts though - we are not accident prone - obviously many had already frequented the medical stand.
Georgia took over next for "You Raise Me Up", which she sang beautifully as the shade gradually crept over us. We've performed this quite a few times now and it certainly has a calming effect on everyone, performers and audience alike.
For our final number we chose "Absolutely Everybody", which gave several of our Idol heat participants a chance to sing solo - great job, Shona, Megan, Paige, Kiara, Shelby and Maddi!
