~ CIRCUS PLAY ~

We went to an acrobatic, funny and perfect show called Circus Play. The hosts were Kylie and Simon and they soon demonstrated all the things that they had there. The dog's name was Rani. Rani showed us a "Jump through the hoop" trick. It was a fabulous trick. Then we had to learn the swear words that they had. They were: don't, can't and won't and Kylie said if anyone was bad, they would have to clean her car with their tongue. Yuk! Then we finally got to play with their things. My favourite thing was the spinning plates. I had a fantastic time.

Kylie and Simon did acrobatics first. My favourite part was juggling and twirling the staff. When we performed in front of the class, Aaron liked mine a lot. Mrs Mitchell took two photos, one when I was twirling the staff and one when I was dressed up in a skirt. Balancing plates was fun. The flower sticks were hard, the hoops too. It took a lot of practise to juggle. The clubs were very hard. When I was twirling the staff, it hit me on the head. When I got dressed up, I wore a skirt, jacket, joker's hat and a wig while I was twirling a plate on a stick.

Today we went to a circus (well, we 'sort of' did, it came to us). We met two people and their names were Kylie and Simon. They had a dog named Rani. They taught our class (and some of the Year 4/5s) how to juggle soft bean bags. My favourite thing was the ribbon and the spinning plates were my second favourite. When Kylie did the ribbons, it looked awesome with blue and pink all going in twirls, circles, waves and snakes. There were four groups. Group 1's leader was Tashina, Group 2's leader was Rhys, Group 3's was me (in other words, Bianca) and Group 4's leader was Nick. We had four events and there was balancing, juggling, spinning and twirling. And that was the end of the circus!

At the circus there were lots of tricks. I got a look from Kylie when she said if you purposefully break something, you have to clean her car with your tongue. I didn't smile. I learned how to balance a spinning plate. It was really, really hard. There were these small beanbags. I could juggle with two but not three. But my favoutite was the rubber sticks. I could roll them up to my shoulders and back. The last activity was the ribbons on sticks. You waved them round and round and they looked like fire going round and round. It was great fun today with the circus play. We were like performers at the end. My one that I did was the spinning plate. It takes a lot of practise to do it. There were these three circus swear words. The words were: don't, won't and can't. There was this boy named Simon who was taught by Kylie. It was funniest when the dog Rani was jumping, trying to get the biscuit. Rani jumped really high trying to get it.
