are often isolated from extended family and miss the warm contact of
grandparents, in particular. We hope to offset some of this geographical
isolation by providing families with the opportunity to share their
thoughts and feelings through our Home Page.
Thanks Julie
Stoward (Doug's Nan) for the great suggestion.

Dear Year
Three students,
My name is Julie Stoward and I am Doug's Nan. Doug's Dad is my son.
I am sending a photo of myself and Doug's Pop so you can see what we
look like.
We live down in
Tasmania which is a very long way from where you are. |
We love watching the things
that you are doing at school on the Internet. You have a lovely page and
it makes us feel like we are close to you.
I will write again soon.
Miss you very much Doug. Love and hugs to you all.
Doug's Nan and Pop.

Hello to all Year 3
Students and Staff, with a special hello to Nathan,
Our names are Brian and
Sandra Farrow, and we have two Grandchildren at your school, Nathan
and his brother Joshua. Their mum Leah is our daughter.
Because we live so far
away in Adelaide, South Australia, we only see Nathan and family
about once a year, so we enjoy being able to look up your web page
just like Doug's Nan & Pop. |

By the way, that's us
checking out your beautiful Kimberley coastline. |
Oh! We were glad to hear
that you all survived the Cyclones without any major damage. Let's hope
there are no more this year. Bye for now, love to you Nathan and all the
best to your fellow classmates and teachers.
Nathan's
Grandma and Grandpa.

Here's a poem
Ashleigh wrote for her Great Grandmother:
Lovely work,
Ashleigh!

HELLO TO ALL IN ROOM 13,
We are Tyler Bain's Nan and Pop. Our
name's are Helene & Frank Piper. We enjoyed looking at your website,

We guess you

in the playground. |
Later on this year we
will be visiting Dampier and we do hope we will be able to visit
your classroom. GO DOCKERS! Bye for now.
From Nan & Pop Piper

Just got another message from

Hi Room 13,
Ann and I apologise for
being so slow in sending Freya and her class mates a message but
we have been busy looking after our cows and their new babies.
Attached are a few photos of the calves which are all between 2
days and 6 weeks of age. So far we have 31 calves and you can see
the colours vary from white through to brown and black. Because
the winter rains are late this year in the south west of Western
Australia we are still feeding hay.
|
 |
Freya has helped us to
feed out the hay when she visits us on the farm so she can tell the class
how we roll the hay down the hill. We will send you some more photos
later. Our very best wishes to everyone in Room 13.
Kind regards,
Mal and Ann

Dear Year
3 students
My name is Jane Spence and I am Chelsea's Gran. This is a
photograph of myself and Chelsea's Grandad. In the background is
the famous Forth Railway Bridge.
We live in Scotland quite near the capital of Edinburgh which is a
very long way from Dampier.
We enjoy seeing all the news from your school on the Internet. |
Hopefully we
will be able to visit Dampier and look forward to visiting your school. We
miss Chelsea and her little brother Blair a lot.
Best wishes from Chelsea's Gran and Grandad.
