Harmony Day, 2008 We had a great time on Harmony Day. This is the special day that we celebrate different cultures, accept and rejoice in our differences and say "NO!" to racism. As usual, our school was a sea of 'orange' and we commenced the day by making a gold coin necklace for Elizabeth, our Kenyan sponsor child. We participated in a tabloid of fun, physical activities and challenges, from eight different cultures and learnt about each country's flag and a little of their history as we went along. Mrs Mitchell wishes to thank the following obliging leaders: Mr Councillor (Aboriginal Australia), Mrs Mundy (Maori, New Zealand), Asahi Sensei (Japan), Mr Smith (India), Miss Woods (Greece), Mrs Stirling (Scotland) and Mrs Smythe (England). Here's some of the gang enjoying themselves:
