Mother's Day Choir Performance As has become our custom, we walked down to the Shopping Centre to perform for our Mums (and Dads and friends) for Mother's Day. The children were very excited to see the crowd waiting there for us. Kiara introduced our first song which was an oldie but a goodie, "At the Hop".
We were a little quiet at the start but were really bopping by the end. Jahdal, Jack and Michael were our "Doo-Wop" boys.
Shelby then told the Mums that we weren't going to make them cry this year but instead, take them back to their carefree youth with an Abba Medley.
Harri, Jack, Steven and Ryan counted us in then we commenced a musical journey that contained eight of Abba's best.
Freya and Chelsea sang "Money, Money, Money" as they've owned it since Dampier Idol, Kiara and Shelby sang the quiet piece from "The Winner Takes It All", while Keah, Michaela and Ali hammed it up with some theatrics.
Our big finish contained a special message for our Mums for Sunday, and a twist where we 'shook our tail feathers'. Choir members then presented their Mums with a handmade flower.
All too soon it was all over.
Mr Smith thanked everyone for coming and then thanked the Choir for their fine effort.
Happy Mother's Day! |
