~ Wildlife Signs ~

Mrs Mitchell said that adults would take notice of children doing things well. We recently wrote to the Shire asking for some extra signs around our town, alerting drivers to the fact that they could be sharing the road with the Pilbara's wildlife. Here's a few examples:

We were very happy when we received a reply back from Ms Mott and even more thrilled when we saw the sign out the front of our school. Kangaroos frequently cross the road there after leaving Jurat Park and many are injured and killed. More signs will be paced at the Lookout, another of Dampier's 'blackspots'. We encourage all drivers to slow down so that they can avoid collisions and unnecessary deaths.
